Watch our GoPro HERO3 Silver Edition First Ride video here: youtu.be We rigged a GoPro HERO3 Silver Edition and HERO2 to our MTB handlebars with 2x K-Edge GO BIG bar-mounts and looped the freeride section at Cwmcarn in Wales to test the various framerates and resolutions on the two cameras in a head-to-head video test. The footage hasn't been colour corrected in any way so is true of the video quality. The sound is also untouched so any distortion is as is captured during the record. The audio has been split so that the left channel is the HERO2 and the right is HERO3. You can hear definite differences between the two. The final video was output at 1280 x 720 @ 30fps as common settings are needed for accurate sync on the clips. Shooting modes tested are: 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps 1280 x 720 @ 60fps 1280 x 960 @ 48fps The clapping is to allow frame accurate sync of the picture between the two cameras. Its actually closer to wrights lake if you know where that is. heli is T-rex 450 with tt and go pro hd camera set at 1080p but rendered to 720p. spot in video where I fly into water with no flotation device. all footage done with about 0 dollors worth of equipment. which isnt much compared to people with 10000 plus invested.
